Cambodia, o­nly a very short hop away from modern Thailand, is o­ne of the most beautiful countries in Southeast Asia. Though it has had a tumultuous history, Cambodia remains a fascinating and unspoiled country.

There are wonderful community service opportunities for students to get involved with that will give them a sense of pride in having participated and helped children in this beautiful, developing country. Students will participate in challenging team building activities that will help prepare them for their community service projects during the week. At the end of their stay in Cambodia, students will have the unique opportunity to explore the magnificent World Heritage site of Angkor Wat, near Siem Reap.



CAMBODIA SUMMARY ITINERARY

Day # 1 Arrive in Phnom Penh; hotel check in. This city was o­nce considered o­ne of the most beautiful in the Orient; National Museum, the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom hill, founding place of the city; Central Market; Night in Phnom Penh
Day # 2 Team building; Community Service near Phnom Penh; Russian and Central Markets; Night Phnom Penh
Day # 3 Community Service
Day # 4 Transfer to Pochentong Airport; morning flight to Siem Reap. Siem Reap is the base for exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer empire. o­n arrival begin exploration of the temples takes in the South Gate of Angkor; Night in Siem Reap
Day # 5 Angkor Wat exploration; Night in Siem Reap
Day # 6 Departure from Siem Reap for home
