This is one of the most exotic countries in the world, situated in the largest and most formidable mountain range on Earth. The Himalayas ("Home of the Snow") of Nepal have 8 of the world's 14 highest mountains.

All 8 of these are in the top 10 highest mountains. Kathmandu, the capital, has many World Heritage sites and Royal Chitwan Forest, is a gem of nature, and a World Heritage site as well. Students have two choices of itineraries in this wonderful vertical country, inhabited by some of the nicest and friendliest people they could ever hope to meet. These adventure itineraries include: Trekking, Exploring bazaars, stupas and temples; White water rafting with professionals; Elephant safaris; bathing elephants in a river; Viewing the Great one Horned Rhino and other wildlife, and community service at a wonderful mountain school.



1. River, Jungle, Trek & Community Service (Difficulty: 3-4)
Day # 1 Arrive Kathmandu check into a nice old hotel; Week overview meeting; buffet garden dinner; night Kathmandu
Day # 2 Drive to Trisuli River; rafting; Chitwan National Forest/ World Heritage site; Elephant jungle safaris; Jungle walk
Day # 3 Jungle walk and elephant safaris; Great one-Horned Rhino; Sloth bear; deer; monkeys, wild boar; leopard and Royal Bengal Tiger ( if we're lucky).
Day # 4 Morning jungle activities; drive to Pokhara and check into a Gurkha hotel
Day # 5 Mountain and village trek; Community service with wonderful Nepali kids at a mountain village school; exploration and shopping in Pokhara in evening; Night Pokhara
Day # 6 Morning flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu; Some World Heritage sites in Kathmandu followed by exotic shopping; Farewell BBQ dinner at hotel.
Day # 7 Breakfast and Kathmandu International Departure; Arriving Dubai about 16:30 in the afternoon.

2. High Himalaya Trekking Expedition (Difficulty: 4-5)
Day # 1 Arrive Kathmandu check into a nice old hotel (Manaslu) ; Week overview meeting; buffet garden dinner; night Kathmandu
Day # 2 Fly towards Everest (35 minutes) Lukla (9,000 ft app); 2 to 3 hours trek to Phakding almost same elevation
Day # 3 Phakding to Namche 12,000 ft gradually uphill 6-7 hours, slowly
Day # 4 Rest to acclimatize at Namche bazaar
Day # 5 Trek to Theneboche Monastery (13,500 ft) 5-6 hours; overnight at Gompha Lodge next to Thenbonche monastery.
Day # 6 Visit Pangroche village area; back to Gompha and Gompha Lodge (5 hours), or stay in Pangroche area
Day # 7 Trek back to Namche 3-4 hours
Day # 8 Trek back to Lukla 7-8 hours
Day # 9 Trek to Lukla for flight back to Kathmandu 3 hours
Day # 10 Morning flight back to Kathmandu and connect to international flight back to Dubai; Arriving Dubai 16: 30 in the afternoon, or stay another night in Kathmandu and depart the next day
